Every account gets a private address like m4rk@in.slip.app — forward a confirmation and it is filed before you have closed the mail app. For paper, the camera crops and de-skews the slip while you hold it, so a crumpled till receipt scans on the first try.

Reading the slip
Slip pulls the merchant, the date, the total, the tax line and each item row, then keeps the original image beside the numbers. When the paper is faded or torn, it marks the fields it is unsure of instead of guessing quietly.

Sorting without rules
Each receipt takes its category from the merchant and the item lines, so a pharmacy slip with nappies on it splits between Health and Children. Correct one and Slip keeps the correction for that merchant from then on.

Finding it again
Search runs across merchant names, item rows, amounts and notes, so “tyres” finds the garage invoice from 12 Aug 2026 and “41.20” finds the exact total. Filters stack on top: date range, category, card, person, and receipts you flagged for a warranty.

Handing it to your accountant
Export a date range as CSV, a single merged PDF, or a folder of images with a filename per receipt. The CSV columns map to Xero, QuickBooks, Moloni and FreeAgent imports, and every row carries the receipt ID so the paper trail holds.

A shelf the household can see
Each receipt on the household shelf shows who added it, and who corrected it later. Anything you file to your own shelf stays private — moving it across is a deliberate tap, never automatic.

Forward the email or take the photo. It takes a second, and you can do it at the counter while the card machine is still printing.

Slip reads it
About four seconds later the receipt is on your shelf with the total already in place. Nothing waits for you to type.

It sits there until you need it
No notification, no weekly digest. The app waits for the end of the month, or for the warranty claim that needs the original image.

Things Slip will not do
Slip never moves or holds money. There is no card, no balance and no payment to approve.
Slip only sees what you send it. There is no bank connection, so a card payment with no receipt never shows up.
Slip does not set budgets, send spending warnings, or tell you what to cut.
Slip does not sell your data or hand it to advertisers, on any plan. Receipts older than 7 years are deleted.

Forward a month of confirmations and see what comes back. If Slip reads them badly, delete the account and the images go with it.
